About this guide
Midlands Wedding Styling About this guide
The things a reader is entitled to know before trusting anything else here.
What this is
An independent guide to wedding styling and décor across the West Midlands: Birmingham, the Black Country, Warwickshire, Staffordshire and the surrounding counties. It covers what stylists and hire companies actually do, how their contracts allocate risk, what venues restrict and why, and how the day is physically put together.
It is written for couples planning their own wedding, not for the trade.
What it is not
Not a directory. No stylist, florist or hire company pays to be mentioned, and none is listed in exchange for anything.
We publish no prices, because décor pricing depends on quantity, season, distance and what the venue charges, and a figure published today would mislead by next spring.
We publish no photographs of other people's weddings. Images circulate in this industry with little regard for permission, and a styled shoot lit for a magazine is a poor guide to what a real room looks like at seven in the evening.
Sources
Where this guide describes a legal duty it cites the primary source, and every link has been checked as live rather than assumed. Where it describes how something usually works, that is a summary of common practice and not advice about your wedding.
The distinction matters. Fire safety restrictions, hire contracts and consumer rights are all fact-specific, and the position for a particular venue on a particular date can differ from anything written here. For anything turning on money or liability, ask the supplier for the document.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, out of date, or has stopped being true because a rule changed, we would rather know. Write to hello@pumpkinevents.co.uk. Corrections are made in place, and the review date on a page changes when the page is genuinely revisited rather than on a schedule.
About this domain
This address was previously used by an events business in the region, which closed several years ago. The domain later became available and now carries this guide.
This guide has no connection to that business, does not represent it, is not a continuation of it, and does not trade under its name. If you have arrived from an old link, listing or article looking for that company, it is no longer operating and this site cannot put you in touch with it.
We say so plainly because a domain with a history deserves it, and because anyone following an old link is owed a straight answer rather than a page that quietly implies something else.

Published by Midlands Wedding Styling as an organisation rather than under a personal byline. We do not attach invented human signatures to editorial pages.
